Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GlowLoop mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by GlowLoop ("we," "our," or "us").
By creating an account or using the App (including as an anonymous user), you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them and our Privacy Policy.
2. What GlowLoop Does
GlowLoop is a personal wellness self-tracking application that helps you log and reflect on patterns between your food choices, sleep, energy, skin, and digestive comfort. Core features include:
- AI-powered food scanning — photograph meals to receive an AI-generated wellness impact assessment across energy, skin, sleep, and bloating dimensions.
- Daily check-ins — record how you feel each day using simple self-reported scales.
- Wellness reports — weekly, monthly, and quarterly summaries of your logged patterns.
- 7-day free journey — a structured, guided first week of wellness exploration available to all users at no cost.
- GlowLoop Plus — a paid subscription unlocking 30-day pattern windows, ongoing reports, AI coaching experiments, and advanced wellness challenges.
- Challenges — invite friends or family members to join shared wellness challenges and track collective progress.
- Share cards — shareable visual cards showing wellness milestones (showing only aggregate reflections, never raw scores or photos).
- Data export — download your wellness records in JSON, CSV, or Markdown format at any time.
3. Accounts and Registration
3.1 Anonymous Use
You may use GlowLoop without creating an account. In this case, your data is stored locally on your device. We assign an anonymous identifier for your session. Anonymous data may be lost if you uninstall the app or switch devices.
3.2 Registered Accounts
You may create a named account using your email address (via one-time password), Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. A registered account enables cloud backup and cross-device sync. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
3.3 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Advanced → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your wellness records, scan history, check-ins, feedback, and profile data are permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use GlowLoop for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
- Upload or submit content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights.
- Create accounts using false identity information or on behalf of another person without their permission.
- Use the App to generate medical diagnoses or provide healthcare advice to others.
- Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or access GlowLoop Plus features without a valid subscription.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
5.1 Free Tier
All users have access to a free 7-day wellness journey, basic food scanning, daily check-ins, and a 7-day reflection report at no charge. The free tier remains available indefinitely after the 7-day guided period ends.
5.2 GlowLoop Plus Subscription
GlowLoop Plus is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks:
- 30-day food, sleep, energy, and comfort pattern windows
- Ongoing weekly and monthly wellness reports
- AI coaching experiments grounded in your personal logs
- Extended wellness challenges and additional level progress
5.3 Free Trial
GlowLoop Plus includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin at the applicable subscription price.
5.4 Billing and Payment
All billing is handled by the platform through which you purchased the subscription:
- iOS / Apple App Store — payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Android / Google Play — payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Subscription prices may vary by region and are set by the platform. Current pricing is displayed in the GlowLoop app before purchase.
5.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's platform subscription settings — not through the GlowLoop app itself:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GlowLoop Plus → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → Account → Subscriptions → GlowLoop Plus → Cancel
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Plus access until that date. Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund.
6. Refund Policy
6.1 Free Trial
The 7-day free trial is provided so you can evaluate GlowLoop Plus before being charged. We strongly encourage you to cancel before the trial ends if you decide not to continue. No charge is made during the trial period.
6.2 iOS / Apple App Store Refunds
Apple handles all refund requests for App Store purchases. We cannot issue refunds for Apple App Store purchases. To request a refund from Apple:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Select the GlowLoop purchase and submit a refund request
Apple's refund decisions are at their sole discretion. Apple typically considers refund requests made within 14 days of purchase, but this is not guaranteed.
6.3 Android / Google Play Refunds
Google handles all refund requests for Google Play purchases. We cannot issue refunds for Google Play purchases. To request a refund from Google:

- Or visit Google Play's refund help page
Google generally offers refunds within 48 hours of purchase for subscriptions. Refund requests made after this window are evaluated at Google's discretion.
6.4 Goodwill Refund Requests
While we cannot process refunds directly, if you experience a technical issue that prevented you from using GlowLoop Plus despite being charged, please contact us at support@iglowloop.com. We will work with you to escalate the issue to the relevant platform where appropriate.
7. Intellectual Property
GlowLoop and all its content, features, and functionality — including the App, its design, AI models, algorithms, text, and graphics — are owned by GlowLoop and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the wellness data and content you create within the App. By using the App, you grant GlowLoop a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
8. Your Content and Sharing
When you create a public share link (e.g., a wellness milestone card), you are making selected wellness reflection data accessible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for the content you choose to share. You can revoke any share link at any time from within the app, after which the link will no longer be accessible.
Share cards are designed to show only general wellness reflections. They do not expose your email address, raw numerical scores, personal notes, or food photos.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) AI analysis results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose; (c) the Service will meet your specific requirements; or (d) any defects will be corrected.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GLOWLOOP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR HEALTH-RELATED OUTCOMES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Termination
You may stop using GlowLoop at any time. You may delete your account to remove your data.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to GlowLoop if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of GlowLoop shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting us at support@iglowloop.com.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of GlowLoop after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
